Winter bog: the bushes in the foreground are labrador tea. The reddish branches are those of blueberry. We are waiting for their blossoms to signal the beginning of spring when our bog will wake up. Crazy boggers are mostly dormant in the winter but work parties will resume as soon as the weather thaws. Two events coming up: First, we will be meeting Saturday, the 28th to determine the direction of bog stewardship in 2012. Second: a visit to the Beaty Museum Camosun bog exhibit on Feb 11, 10am.
